Two Days

It's always pleasing to hear songs that sum up hopes for summer - beach parties, chill-out days in the garden, evening barbeques. Silent Film Project's latest single gives you a real sense of soaring summer spirits. The combined vocals of the male and female lead singers work brilliantly with the bouncy riffs and drumbeats, - even the guitar riffs sound sunny and cheerful.

The B-side gives a similar effect, with the same kind of unflinching, bouncy happiness coming through as with bands like Alphabeat, whilst still keeping a dash of indie in the mixture, paying homage to the bands sharing the KIDS label with them, such as The Wombats and Band of Horses.

Definitely a summer tune to rely on, rather than, dare I say it, the weather.
